Hand Baggage Update: 04 January 2008

There is no immediate plan for Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield to relax the ‘one bag’ ruling which would allow passengers to take more than one item of baggage through the Airport security processing area.

The continuation of the ‘one bag’ rule will help maintain the timely processing of passengers and ensure that wait times and queue lengths at Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield are kept to a minimum.

Following the recent incident at Glasgow Airport on 30th June 2007, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield is operating 'business as usual', however, passengers are being advised to allow plenty of time to pass through the Airport. Advance Passenger Information: Information for air travellers between the UK and Spain: Updated 18 J

18 June 2007
Advance Passenger Information: Information for air travellers between the UK and Spain.

The Spanish Government have introduced new requirements meaning that airlines have to provide certain personal information about all travellers on their aircraft to the Spanish authorities before the aircraft leaves the UK. The new rules apply from 19 June 2007.

The procedure collects information from passports. Advance Passenger Information (API) information (which includes full name, nationality, date of birth, passport number) can be found on a traveller's passport.

The data is collected at the Airport at the same time as check-in. Some airlines will begin collect the data in advance, usually at the time of booking. Passengers travelling from Robin Hood Airport to Spain should return to the point of booking with any questions relating to API’s.
