A local man from Conisborough has achieved a boyhood dream after securing a position at Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield.
Tom Henshaw, aged 28, has been appointed as an Aviation Analyst at the airport and will be working closely with the airport’s Head of Aviation Development.
Since achieving his degree in Aviation Technology with Pilot Studies at the University of Leeds, Tom has been working in the leisure and hospitality industry and his new role sees him utilising the skills and knowledge he learnt during his time at University.
Tom said: “I have always wanted to be in the aviation industry since I was a young boy so to be working at my local airport is absolutely fantastic and a real dream come true.
“My role entails analysing statistics from across the aviation industry and monitoring travel trends. I will also be analysing data for new routes and business cases for possible new routes.
“I have my private pilot’s licence and have a keen interest in all things aviation so I am delighted to have secured a job in a sector which I am passionate about.
“The airport plays a key role within the local and regional economy and I am hoping that my research and analysis we help to secure new routes for the airport.
