An eight year old from Doncaster has enjoyed a VIP tour of Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield as part of a special competition prize.
Kacey Boulton, from Balby, was the lucky winner of the Airport’s 8th Birthday Design a Card competition and visited the airport for an exclusive behind the scenes tour.
As part of the prize Kacey , along with her dad Danny, was given a tour of the runway, Airport Fire Station, the Vulcan Hangar and she even visited the air traffic control building.
Kacey said: “I really liked designing the card and I couldn’t believe I won the competition.
“My day at the airport was brilliant. I really liked seeing all the planes and being on the runway was great. The Vulcan was out of the aircraft hangar so I got to stand underneath it and have a good look around. It is huge! My Dad really enjoyed the day as well.
“We flew to Alcudia from the airport in June so it was amazing to be actually stood on the same runway that our plane was on. I can’t wait to tell my friends all about the day and thank you very much to everyone at the airport that made the day so much fun.”
Steve Gill, Managing Director at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, said: “We are delighted that Kacey enjoyed her special day with us.
“Her winning card design was fantastic and included flags of the countries we fly to, so she had clearly done her research!
“I would like to thank everyone who entered the competition and congratulate Kacey again. I am sure Kacey’s prize was a day that she, and her Dad, will never forget.”
